On Friday, October 29th, PCO celebrated a dedication ceremony at our house on Gus Street!  Attendees included volunteers from Crossroads and Woodlands Presbyterian Churches – some of whom had worked on the home during the Little Woods blitz build project in April.  The homeowner and his daughter are so excited to move back into their own home.  All that’s left to do is some final cleaning and some inspections by the parish.

On that day, not only did we celebrate the home of the family, but we also dedicated the house in honor of the Rev. Wayne Bell from Slippery Rock, PA, who passed away on September 3rd from pancreatic cancer.  Wayne’s presence in the work of PCO is one that we will never forget.  He spent much of his life dedicated to missions, including here on the Gulf Coast, and also in Pittsburgh, Nicaragua, Southern Florida, and Virginia.  Wayne and his family established many connections for PCO, which have helped PCO continue its work in southeast Louisiana.  We are greatly indebted to Wayne, and we keep his family in our hearts and prayers.
